The passengers included seven foreign nationals from France, Germany and Belgium, along with six Nepali nationals. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. A video purportedly showing the aircraft’s rear tyre coming off and rolling down a slope also circulated on social media following the incident. The aircraft remained on the runway after the incident, police said. Authorities are awaiting the arrival of a technical team, which will inspect the aircraft and determine the next course of action. Juphal Airport serves the remote Dolpa district, where air connectivity is an important mode of transportation because of the region’s mountainous terrain and limited road access.
