Barmer, June 23: At least 14 people died and 24 others injured after a pandaal collapsed in Rajasthan’s Barmer district due to heavy rains and storm. Injured persons were admitted to a hospital. The incident took place in Jasaul area. Authorities immediately rushed to the spot and started rescue operations. A religious function was underway when the pandaal collapsed. Most of the people present there were over 50 years. According to some reports, after the structure collapsed, an electric current spread due to rain.
