How The Alleged Crime Came To Light
According to the FIR filed by the police, the survivor's ordeal began after she went missing from her home and was allegedly sold to a hotel owner by a rickshaw puller. Outrage Over Illegal Hotels In The District
The alleged incident has triggered widespread outrage in Sri Ganganagar. Congress Demands Strict Action
The Congress party staged a protest demanding strict action against all accused, including the rickshaw puller and hotel operators. Karanpur MLA Rupinder Singh Kunnar took part in the demonstration and said the culprits should be given capital punishment.
The party has warned the administration that a larger agitation will be launched if immediate action is not taken. It has also demanded the suspension of officials at the concerned police station, with Kunnar saying the case exposed the failure of local police and administration.
The investigation into the case is ongoing, with more arrests expected as police probe the wider network allegedly involved in the exploitation.
