Rajasthan: Woman Suffers Head Injury After Husband Pushes Her off Roof for Asking Him To Quit Alcohol

A woman in Rajasthan's Alwar district sustained serious injuries after her husband allegedly pushed her from the roof of their house following an argument over his drinking habits, police said. The victim, identified as Manisha, is undergoing treatment at Alwar District Hospital after suffering a severe head injury in the incident.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the case and recorded the woman's statement at the hospital. According to Manisha, her husband Rakesh is addicted to alcohol and frequently creates disturbances at home after consuming liquor. She told authorities that the couple got into an argument on Friday night, June 19, after Rakesh allegedly returned home in an intoxicated state.

Manisha said she asked her husband to stop drinking regularly and advised him to give up alcohol, citing the family's condition and the recurring disputes caused by his habit. The incident has sparked anger among family members and residents of the village, according to local accounts. Police said the woman's statement has been recorded as part of the ongoing investigation.
