Candidates awaiting the Re NEET Result 2026 may not have to wait much longer, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) indicating that the NEET UG re-examination results are expected to be announced by July 20. Before releasing the scorecards, the agency will publish the final answer key after reviewing objections submitted against the provisional key.

The re-examination was conducted on June 21 following the cancellation of the earlier NEET UG 2026 exam. The provisional answer key and candidates' recorded responses were released on June 25, while the objection window remained open until June 28. Re NEET Result Date 2026

While the NTA has not announced an official result date, senior officials have said the agency is working to declare the results by July 20 on a priority basis.

"We would not like to give out any date as of now, but the result will be out by July 20." Final Answer Key to Be Released Before Scorecards

The final answer key will be published only after all objections to the provisional answer key have been examined by subject experts. The Re NEET UG 2026 result and individual scorecards will be prepared on the basis of this final answer key.

Candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official NTA NEET website using their application number, date of birth and security pin once the results are declared.

Counselling to Begin After Results

Following the declaration of the Re NEET UG 2026 results, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to begin the counselling process for MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical courses.

The NTA has maintained that the re-examination will not delay the admission calendar. "We would not want to disrupt the academic cycle, and want to release the results as soon as possible."

The NEET UG 2026 re-examination was held on June 21 after the original examination conducted on May 3 was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. More than 20 lakh candidates appeared for the re-test at over 5,400 examination centres across India and 14 centres abroad.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official NTA NEET portal for updates regarding the final answer key, result declaration and counselling schedule.
