Tiger Shroff Firing Case: 3 Suspects Arrested From Rajasthan’s Kota, Bishnoi Gang Link Under Probe
Law enforcement agencies have arrested three primary suspects linked to the recent shooting outside actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai. The arrests were made in Rajasthan's Kota following a coordinated operation involving Mumbai Police and the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF).
Mumbai Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area, with the accused apprehended at Kota railway station in Rajasthan on Monday, October 19. The arrests came a day after gunmen allegedly opened fire at the actor’s vehicle on October 18, injuring his caretaker and driver and another person. Investigators are also probing a possible connection with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to a news reported.
The suspects were reportedly travelling on a train from Mumbai towards Rajasthan when a joint operation involving police teams led to their detention. The case has been transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch for further investigation. Tiger Shroff Firing: FIR Reveals 7 Rounds Fired at Actor’s Car; Case Filed Against 3 Unidentified Persons.

The suspects were intercepted at Kota railway station while travelling on the Pune-Jaipur Express, according to media reports. Rajasthan Police and Mumbai Police coordinated during the operation following intelligence inputs about their movements. Police are investigating the alleged roles of the three men, including who fired at the actor’s car and who may have helped the attackers escape. What Happened During the Firing Incident?
The shooting took place at around 7 pm on Sunday, October 18, when Shroff was returning after playing football in the Juhu area. According to the FIR, two unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire at the vehicle from the front and the side. The attackers fled on a motorcycle after the shooting.
Shroff escaped a direct gunshot injury, while his caretaker and driver, Firdos Ibrahim Baloch, sustained a gunshot wound to his hand and a fracture to a finger. Another person at the scene was also hit by a bullet and taken to hospital for treatment.
The police registered a case under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant provisions of the Arms Act. Section 109(1) deals with attempted murder, while Section 3(5) concerns acts carried out by several persons in furtherance of a common intention.
Possible Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Connection Under Investigation
Investigators are examining a possible link between the firing and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Reports said a social media message claiming responsibility for the attack surfaced after the incident.
Kota Police, according to a report by Moneycontrol, said preliminary questioning indicated that Rehan had been in contact with Anil Pandit, an alleged associate of the gang. Police are investigating the suspected connection and the alleged involvement of others in planning the attack.
The claims surrounding the gang’s involvement remain part of the investigation. The suspects’ alleged links and individual roles will need to be established through further questioning and evidence.
Suspects Allegedly Planned to Flee Further
According to Kota Police, the suspects allegedly boarded a train after the shooting and planned to travel onwards to Jaipur, Delhi and eventually Nepal. Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam reportedly said preliminary questioning suggested that the group intended to leave the country. The arrests took place before they could complete the alleged journey. Mumbai Police personnel subsequently travelled to Rajasthan to take over the suspects and continue the investigation.
Investigators are also examining the route taken by the suspects after the shooting, the motorcycle allegedly used in the attack and evidence that could establish whether the incident was planned in advance.
Mumbai Crime Branch Takes Over Probe
The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the motive behind the shooting and whether additional people were involved in arranging or executing the attack. Police are expected to examine evidence collected from the crime scene, the suspected weapon and the accused persons’ movements before and after the incident.
The arrests mark a significant development in the case, but the investigation remains ongoing. Police have yet to establish all the circumstances surrounding the attack and the extent of any alleged organised-crime involvement.
