Uttar Pradesh, November 22: In a shocking of sexual assault, a minor girl was allegedly raped and set ablaze in Nakhasa. According to an ANI update, doctors have informed that the victim has received 70 percent burn injuries. The accused has been arrested, while a further probe is on.
In another incident that took place recently in Hyderabad, a 19-year-old boy raped his five-year-old neighbour, who used to frequently come to buy chocolates from his shop. In another shocking incident from Mumbai that took place last week, a 19-year-old girl was gangraped, while she was with her friends during the morning walk. The girl was forced into an auto at knifepoint. Her friends then went to the police station and filed a complaint. The offenders took the girl to a flat in Nalasopara and took turns to rape her till 5 pm.
According to a recent report released by Praja Foundation, 69 percent of the survivors in the rape case in Mumbai are children. In 2018-19, there have been 784 rape cases that have been registered, which is up 22 percent in comparison to 2014-15.
