CCTV Captures Disturbing Incident
The incident took place on June 22 at the FirstCry Intellitots pre-school in the city's CIDCO area. According to police, the child's mother, a 29-year-old lawyer, had dropped him at the daycare around 10:30 am.

CCTV footage shows a female caretaker supervising four young boys before taking one child out of the room and allegedly locking the remaining three toddlers inside. With no caregiver present, the children reportedly became distressed and started crying. During the next 15 minutes, one of the toddlers allegedly bit the 23-month-old child around 25 times while another child stood frightened. No staff member entered the room during the incident, according to the CCTV footage.
Child Suffers Multiple Injuries

The parents alleged that the daycare informed them about the incident only around 2 pm when they arrived to pick up their son. They claimed the principal initially described the injuries as "only scratches", but they found multiple bite marks across the child's body after removing his clothes.
The child was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Six Staff Members Booked
Following a complaint by the child's parents, police registered a case against six people associated with the daycare, including CEO Shubham Maheshwari, managers Mangesh Musale and Vaibhav Sawade, principal Kanchan Yewale, and the female caretaker.
No arrests have been made so far.
Parents Allege Offer to Withdraw Complaint
The parents alleged that the school management offered them INR 10 lakh and three years of free education for their son in exchange for not filing a police complaint. They also claimed the management told them, "You can't harm us."
The daycare has not publicly responded to the allegations.
Education Department Launches Probe
The Maharashtra Education Department has initiated an inquiry into the incident. According to reports, the daycare is also under scrutiny for allegedly operating without the required municipal permissions.
The investigation is ongoing.
