New Delhi, September 14: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janata PartyтАЩs (BJP) working president JP Nadda swept a floor┬аin the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi on Saturday as part of the party's "Seva Saptah" campaign launched to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Other BJP leaders, including Vijay Goel and Vijender Gupta, were also seen along with the Home Minister in the video tweeted by news agency ANI. Earlier in the day, the Shah and Nadda met children admitted in AIIMS and gifted them fruits as part of the campaign. The BJP on Thursday announced that it would observe a 'Seva Saptah' (service week) from September 14 to 20 for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17. Speaking to reporter, Shah said, "BJP workers across the country will begin celebrating "Seva Saptah" today. Our PM has dedicated his entire life to serve the nation and worked for the poor. So, it is appropriate that we celebrate his birthday week as Seva Saptah."

BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh in a press conference said that innumerable social initiatives have been planned across the nation by the party during the service week. As part of the тАЬSeva SaptahтАЭ, the BJP asked the people to avoid the usage of single-use plastic and to spread awareness for conserving water.
