Chandigarh, August 18: Tensions between India and Pakistan are escalating after the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. As dissecting political views on the abrogation of Article 370 are making the headline, former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday supported Modi government's move. However, he asked current state CM Manohar Lal Khattar to give last five years' record.

Expressing his support for the Narendra Modi government, Hooda said in Rohtak, "I support the decision to abrogate Article 370 but I want to tell Haryana government that you will have to give an account of what you did in 5 years, don't hide behind this decision. Our brothers from Haryana are deployed as soldiers in Kashmir, that is why I supported it."  Rajnath Singh Says India Will Now Discuss PoK With Pakistan, Reiterates 'Terror and Talks Can't Go Together'

Stating the reason for his support to the ruling dispensation at Centre, Hooda said, "When government does something right I support them. Many of my colleagues opposed the decision to abrogate Article 370, my party has lost its way, it's not the same Congress it used to be. When it comes to patriotism and self-respect, I'll not compromise with anyone."

On patriotism, Hooda said, "I was born in a patriotic family, those who oppose (abrogation of Article 370), I want to tell them 'usulon par jahan aanch aaye, vahan takrana zaruri hai, jo zinda hai to zinda dikhna zaruri hai'."

Earlier in the day, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated India is ready to talk with Pakistan, but that if talks are held on Kashmir with Pakistan, it would not be on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. He also opined that Talks with Pakistan will be held only if it stops supporting terror.
