The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced a major organisational revamp, naming a fresh list of national office bearers under national president Nitin Nabin ahead of a string of crucial state elections. The reshuffle, announced through a two-part press release shared on the party's official X handle, signals a strong focus on regional representation, blending veteran leaders with younger faces across key posts. The list includes national vice presidents, general secretaries, treasurers, and heads of the party's various frontal organisations (morchas), along with media and social media convenors.

Smriti Irani, Vasundhara Raje Return To Core Roles

In one of the most talked about developments, former Union minister Smriti Irani has made a comeback to a core organisational role, being named one of the party's national general secretaries. The national general secretaries named in the list include Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Smriti Irani, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi, and Sanjay Bhatia. BL Santosh has been named national general secretary (organisation), with Shivprakash and Saudan Singh appointed as national joint general secretaries (organisation).

Piyush Goyal Named National Treasurer

Union minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed the party's national treasurer, with Rajesh Mangal named national joint treasurer. Frontal Organisation Chiefs Named

The BJP also announced new chiefs for its frontal wings. Hemang Joshi has been named Yuva Morcha president, Roop Kumari Chaudhary will head the Mahila Morcha, Amarpal Maurya has been named OBC Morcha chief, Bansilal Gurjar will lead the Kisan Morcha, Shivesh Kumar Ram has been named SC Morcha president, Mannalal Rawat will head the ST Morcha, and Kunwar Basit Ali has been named Alpsankhyak (Minority) Morcha chief.

Media, Social Media Teams Also Reshuffled

Anil Baluni has been named the party's media convenor, with Ashish Usha Agrawal, Pradeep Bhandari, and Siddharth Yadav appointed as media co-convenors. Deepak Mhaske will head the social media team as convenor, supported by co-convenors Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav.

The appointments, signed off by national general secretary and headquarters in-charge Arun Singh, have come into effect immediately, the press release said.
