Nashik, March 23: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Subhash Ramrao Bhamre, Minister of State for Defence, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) from Dhule constituency, was re-elected as Member of Parliament. Polling for Lok Sabha election in Dhule parliamentary seat of Maharashtra was held on April 29 in the fourth phase of general elections.

The BJP has fielded Bhamre again from Dhule seat. He will face a tough challenge from Congress candidate Kunal Patil who currently represents Dhule Rural constituency in Maharashtra assembly. He is the son of former minister Rohidas Patil. The process of filing nomination for Dhule Lok Sabha election started from April 2. The last day for nominations was April 9. In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-Shiv Sena -Swabhiman Paksha combine together won 42 out of the 48 seats in Maharashtra. The Congress bagged only two seats and NCP just four. Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases - on April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19.
