Karnataka Congress MP BK Hariprasad Pokes Fun at Amit Shah's Illness, Says BJP President Suffering from ‘Suar ka Zukham’
With BK Hariprasad making a controversial statement on Amit Shah’s sickness, this would add more heat in the already bitter relations between Congress and BJP
New Delhi, January 17: The politics of India steeped to new low when Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP BK Hariprasad stoked a controversy by commenting on BJP president Amit Shah’s illness on Thursday. While commenting on Shah’s illness – admitted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for swine flu treatment – Hariprasad said that the people of Karnataka cursed BJP president and therefore is suffering from ‘suar ka zukam’.
The above comments by the senior parliamentarian of the Congress come amid the news of alleged horse trading of Congress lawmakers by the BJP – called as ‘Operation Lotus’, with an aim to topple the government. Expressing his opinion on Shah’s illness, admitted in AIIMS on Wednesday, Hariprasad said, “If he (Shah) continues to destabilise the Karnataka government, he will have to deal with even more serious diseases.” He was reacting on the tweet of Shah, in which he wrote in Hindi, “I have been diagnosed with swine flu for which the treatment is underway. With God's grace and good wishes from all of you, I will recover soon.”
According to the latest report, the new comment by the Congress parliamentarian would add more heat in the already bitter relations between Congress and BJP.
Along with him, even leader from Gujarat - Hardik Patel - too commented on Shah's illness. He took to twitter and wrote that "The doctors are in tension, whether to save the country or the rioter. Let the national duty be followed."
However, Shah is recovering from swine flu and is being kept under the supervision of AIIMS director Randeep Guleria. He is expected to be released from the hospital soon, informed BJP.
Sharing the health update, BJP wrote on Twitter, “Update: BJP President Shri @AmitShah is doing well. Doctors, post check up this morning, have opined that he is recovering well and would soon be discharged. Thank you all for your kind wishes and several messages. We are overwhelmed by your affection.”
