Lucknow constituency is one of the eighty Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The election here will be conducted on May 6, 2019 as per the Phase V schedule. Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The city stands at an elevation of approximately 123 metres (404 ft) above sea level. Lucknow district covers an area of 2,528 square kilometres. In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Rajnath Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat and is the sitting MP from this Lok Sabha Constituency. Rita Bahuguna Joshi of the Congress party was as the second spot.
