Bhopal, December 11: The counting of votes for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections is taking place today. Madhya Pradesh witnessed a fierce competition between the two major parties, Congress and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The elections in the state were held on November 28 to elect members of the 230 constituencies. This year, the state reportedly registered a record 75 per cent voter turnout with long ques of women voters. The tenure of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will end on January 7, 2019. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is announcing the state Assembly Elections 2018 winners today. Who's Leading and Who's Winning in Madhya Pradesh?

Shivraj Singh Chouhan is in office since 2005 and is seeking re-election from Budhni in Sehore district. The exit polls have not been able to give a clear picture of who will win Madhya Pradesh. While some exit polls said the Congress would win, others have predicted BJP's victory. Some exit polls have also predicted a hung Assembly in MP.
