Bhopal, September 20: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Thursday has announced a list of 22 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Polls. BSP chief Mayawati on Sunday had put an end to all the speculations of the pre-poll alliance. BSP’s National General Secretary Ram Achal Rajbharand in-charge of MP Pradeep Ahirwar released the list of 22 candidates.

The announcement was made after Mayawati gave an approval to the list. The party has announced candidates across 14 districts of the state, out of which four candidates will be contesting in Rewa, while three in Satna district.

Meanwhile, the party has announced an alliance with Ajit Jogi's Janta Congress Chhattisgarh for assembly election in Chhattisgarh. The BSP on 35 seats, while JCC will fight on 55 seats. Mayawati also announced that if the alliance wins the election, then Jogi will be the CM of the state.

The Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh assembly elections scheduled by the end of this year. According to ABP News opinion poll, the BJP will 40 percent of the seats in Madhya Pradesh and that the Congress will corner 42 percent seats in the state and other parties will end up with 18 percent of the seats. In 2013 elections, the BJP had won 165 out of 230 seats, while the Congress managed to win only 58 seats and the BSP won only four seats.
