Kolkata, February 4: The sit-in protest called by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee entered the second day on Monday. The Chief Minister began her 'dharna' over the CBI's attempt to question Kolkata Police chief Rajeev Kumar in connection with chit fund scams. In the wake of the instability in Bengal, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) said it will raise the matter in Parliament while the CBI stated that it will file a contempt of court case against the West Bengal government in the Supreme Court on Monday. Banerjee began her dharna in Kolkata on Sunday night. Reports inform that Gandhi called up Banerjee and extended support to her, saying the entire opposition is together and it will defeat the fascist forces.
