The results for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2019 will be announced today. The counting of votes for the 175 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh Assembly began at 8 am and the final list of winners is expected to be out by the end of the day on Thursday. Voting for Ramachandrapuram, Rampachodavaram, Raptadu, Rayachoti, Rayadurg Vidhan Sabha seats took place on April 11 in Phase 1. In Andhra Pradesh, the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is facing stiff competition from the YSR Congress Party.

In the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2014, Thota Trimurthulu of the TDP had won the election from Ramachandrapuram seat. He will be contesting the election this year as well. The other candidates on this seat for the 2019 polls are Isukapatla Sathish Kumar of the Congress, Srinivasa Venu Gopala Krishna Chelluboyina of the YSRCP and Dudala Sankara Narayana Murthy of the BJP among others.

The Rampachodavaram seat was won in 2014 AP Assembly Polls by Ranganatha Modaliar, an Independent candidate. The candidates for the 2019 polls on this seat are Gondi Balaiah of the Congress, Vanthala Rajeswari of the TDP, Tursam Subba Rao of the BJP and Nagulapalli Dhanalakshmi of the YSR CP.

The Raptadu seat was won in 2014 by Paritala Sunithamma of the TDP. The candidates for 2019 are Paritala Sreeram of the TDP, Byalla Erriswami of the BJP and Thopudurthy Prakash Reddy of the YSRCP.

The Rayachoti seat was won in 2014 by GKS Reddy of the YSRCP. Reddy will be fighting the 2019 election as well. The other candidates for 2019 Assembly poll on this seat are Palagiri Srinivasa Kumar Raju of the BJP, Ramesh Kumar Reddy Reddappagari of the TDP and Shaik Allabakash of the Congress among others.

The Rayadurg seat was won in 2014 by Kalava Srinivasulu of the TDP. The candidates this election are Kapu Ramachandra Reddy of the YSRCP, Kalava Srinivasulu of the TDP, MB Chinnappaya of the Congress and J Vasundara of the BJP.

Along with Andhra Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Polls, voting will also be held for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 in the state on April 11. The counting of votes will be held on May 23.
