Election Commission has declared the final results of Siwan Lok Sabha constituency. Kavita Singh of the JD(U) has been named the winner. The seat went to polls on May 19, in the seventh phase of the general elections 2019. Notification for the polls in Siwan, along with other seats scheduled to be contested in the seventh phase, was released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on April 16. The aspirants were allowed to file their candidatures till April 29. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has given the ticket to sitting BJP MP Om Prakash Yadav, whereas, the Mahagathbandhan candidate from the seat is RJD's Heena Shahab.

In the 2014 general elections, Siwan was won by Om Prakash Yadav by a margin of more than 1.25 lakh votes against his nearest RJD rival Heena Shahab, the wife of jailed gangster Mohammad Shahabuddin.
