Delhi, August 13: Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is accused of rape, has been charged with the murder of rape survivor's father. Delhi's Patiala House Court on Tuesday framed charges against Kuldeep and his brother Atul Singh. However, Sengar, who was recently expelled from the saffron party, has denied the allegations. Going to the case, the rape survivor's father was arrested for possessing a local pistol. The court said that it was a "conspiracy to deter, silence and prevent the father from pursuing the complaint in the rape case". The victim was picked up from the road, put behind bars and beaten up. Later, he was admitted to the hospital with multiple bruises after complaining of stomach ache. After his death, post mortem revealed that he died due to blood poisoning. The report also listed fourteen severe bruises all over his body.

Sengar is also being investigated for Unnao Rape survivor's accident on July 28, in which she was critically injured. Her mother and aunt died in the tragedy while her lawyer suffered grave injuries. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing both the rape case and the road accident. Sengar is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail.
