Body positivity, FTW! It was about time, big brands realised that inclusivity and body positivity isn't a choice anymore, but a necessity. Victoria's Secret recently set an example that speaks volumes about their intention to not restrict their collections and designs just to the skinny people. They roped in its first size-14 model, Ali Tate Cutler and are being praised online, ever since. And the best part, they didn't even make noise about it. People came to know via Cutler's Instagram feed. Victoria's secret has only been using skinny models in its fashion shows and marketing campaigns until now that they signed Cutler as part of its new partnership with London-based lingerie brand Bluebella. The collaboration was announced last week. Their press note suggested that the UK label is about "self-love, self-acceptance and championing individuality." It also featured plus-size models, alongside skinny ones

Cutler took to Instagram to reveal that Victoria's Secret may have crossed a historic threshold of sorts.“I believe I’m the first size 14 on Victoria’s Secret? Regardless I’m pretty stoked to work with a brand I idolized when I was a teen. Great step in the right direction for bodies.”, Cutler used as caption while sharing her pictures.

Cutler is a big-time body-positivity enthusiast, who keeps sharing amazing thoughts on her Instagram along with breath-taking pictures. Her views were aptly expressed in one of Instagram captions where she wrote: “Feeling at home in your body means you have one less thing to worry about in a world that is prone to worrying. That’s not to say we shouldn’t all strive to eat well, keep our bodies active and keep our vessels in good working order. But when we do indulge in a lavish dinner, or when we see a photo of ourselves that doesn’t exactly reflect what we want to look like – it means easing up. Releasing judgement. Operating from a space of understanding and love is the way, especially about ourselves.”
