Meghan Markle Tops Google's 2018 UK Search; Marvel Most Searched Movie Title

Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was the most searched person on Google's UK search service. The former actor is only second to the overall winner of the most looked -for the term 'World Cup' in their search trends review for 2018. Two other news event trends were 'Royal Wedding' and 'Royal Baby'. The Duchess had garnered ample media attention when she announced her pregnancy while touring in Australia with Prince Harry.

The second most-searched-for celebrity was 'Roxanne Pallett' the former Emmerdale actor who courted controversy on Celebrity Big Brother after accusing housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her. Demi Lovato, who garnered limelight due to drug overdose came third while Ant McPartlin who was in news for similar reasons including rehab and recovery gained the fourth spot. Meghan Markle Just Broke Another Royal Protocol by Painting Her Nails Black at British Fashion Awards.

Among the most searched-for movie title, Marvel superhero film Black Panther was the fourth top trending overall query and most searched movie title. The movie was one of the most talked about and awaited Marvel movie that went up to become the highest grossing movie of the year, earning more than $1billion worldwide. Among the most searched for 'How To..?' topics, 'How to bleed radiators?' was at eighth position and 'How to put lights on a Christmas tree?' was on number nine. Probably due to Facebook's Cambridge Ananltyica data breach making the layperson worry about the privacy of their social media accounts, 'How to delete Instagram?' and 'How to delete Facebook?' was fifth and sixth on the list.
