A terrifying video of a rhino chasing a safari jeep at a game reserve in South Africa has gone viral on social media. The video shows the wild animal running after safari-goers near the famous Kruger National Park. The clip was quick to go viral on social media with internet users expressing shock on the close proximity of the rhinoceros and the safari. The animal chases them for 500 meters giving the tourists the scare of their lives. In the video, the group can be heard screaming as the rhino runs after them.

The incident was captured on camera by Rian Boshoff, a financial adviser who along with a group of a people was looking for wildlife at Sabi Sands. The place shares an unfenced border with Kruger National Park. Rhinos are the world's third-largest mammal with weight upto 2,000 kg. Rian Boshoff told Daily Mail, "He stood still right next to the road, looking calm, and we went past him to continue our leopard search. As we did that, the rhino suddenly charged us! The guide decided to head for the bush by making a sharp right turn, trying to throw the rhino off guard, because of their bad sight. Needless to say, the rhino just kept charging. So we decided to head back to the road, so we could have a clear path to drive away on."

Kruger National Park is one of the biggest national parks in Africa. It is situated at the North-Eastern tip of South Africa and spans over the Mpumalanga and Limpopo province. Currently, there are 20,000 white rhinos left in South Africa. A lot of conservation efforts are being undertaken to keep the remaining rhinos safe in the wild.
