Androgenic said Jetstar employees initially expressed concern because he did not have his medication in his carry-on luggage. However, staff also reportedly pointed to his physical appearance, including visible facial swelling and signs of fatigue.
During the exchange, crew members told him he appeared drowsy and unwell.
