A new Hunger Games movie, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, has been announced. This upcoming film is set 40 years after the events of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and 24 years before the 74th Hunger Games. It is scheduled to hit theatres on November 20, 2026. Additionally, the new novel by author Suzanne Collins is set to be released on March 18, 2025. Reports suggest that Francis Lawrence, who directed the previous four films in the series, is in talks to direct The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
