Nag Ashwin's mythological sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD was released in the theatres on Thursday, June 27, in multiple languages. Starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in key roles, the film is creating havoc at the global box office and setting new records. As per the makers, the sci-fi has now collected INR 555 crores at the global box office in just four days, showcasing its dominance at the worldwide level. The film was reportedly made at a budget of INR 600 crore. Sharing the film's historic box office run, the official social media handle of the makers shared a poster of the film and wrote, "555 CRORES & counting…The BIGGEST FORCES are dominating the GLOBAL BOX OFFICE, show no signs of slowing down."
