Malayalam actor and production controller Kannan Pattambi passed away on Sunday night (January 4th) at the age of 62 due to kidney-related complications. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode. The news was confirmed by his brother, filmmaker and former army officer Major Ravi, who shared an emotional note on Facebook. He also announced that Pattambi’s funeral would be held on Monday evening at their family home in Pattambi Njangattiri. Kannan Pattambi had a long association with the Malayalam film industry, contributing both as an actor and a production controller.
