Emily Gold, a 17-year-old contestant from America’s Got Talent and a high school cheerleader from California, has tragically died. Gold was found dead on State Route 210 in Rancho Cucamonga, California, on Friday, September 13. According to a California Highway Patrol officer, she was struck by at least one vehicle in the high occupancy vehicle lane of the eastbound SR-210 freeway. The CHP responded to a report of a ‘pedestrian down in lanes’. The press release stated, “The female succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” as reported by USA Today.
