In response to a troubling case involving the alleged deaths of fourteen children since January 2024 at the Government Home for the Mentally Challenged, Asha Kiran, located in Rohini, Delhi, Delhi Minister Atishi has issued a directive for immediate action. Atishi, on August 2, instructed the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Revenue to promptly initiate a magisterial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the deaths and to submit a detailed report within 48 hours. Further, a team from the National Commission for Women (NCW) arrived at the facility for an on-site investigation. The NCW team will now assess the situation.
