"To add insult to injury, some on-duty personnel are ill-treating passengers, using abusive language like “tu kaun hai” instead of offering help," a caption of the viral video on Instagram read. Another passenger who shared a video showing a confrontation between passengers and the Vande Bharat train's staff said that they were forced to beg for food and water. "Food was withheld until frustration peaked. Elderly citizens and children were finally served—only after outrage," the passenger identified as Pragati Tiwari said. Passengers have also accused the Vande Bharat train's catering staff of not providing them meal despite packed food items being available on board the train. "Basic human dignity is not a luxury. It’s a right," one of the passengers wrote. In the end, a video shows passengers distributing the food items among themselves, following which the staff is seen jumping into action.
