A video went viral on Wednesday, August 21, with the claim that a mob had tried to set a school bus on fire in Bihar's Gopalganj during the Bharat Bandh protest. The viral video showed the bus carrying school children surrounded by a large group of men. A burning tyre was seen underneath the bus in the clip. According to a report by NDTV, the Gopalganj police dismissed the viral claim and clarified that the group, in fact, was trying to remove the burning tire from underneath the bus. Many parts of Bihar on August 21 witnessed protests against a recent Supreme Court order on "quota within quota" for SCs, STs, and OBCs.
