At least 12 workers were injured after two locomotive trains used for construction work collided inside the THDC hydroelectric project tunnel at Pipalkoti in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Tuesday, December 30. The accident occurred around 2.5 km inside the main tunnel at the TBM site.

At least 12 workers were injured after two locomotive trains used for construction work collided inside the THDC hydroelectric project tunnel at Pipalkoti in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Tuesday, December 30. The accident occurred around 2.5 km inside the main tunnel at the TBM site. All the injured were rushed by ambulance to the district hospital in Gopeshwar, where they are undergoing treatment. Chamoli District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar said he has sought a detailed report from THDC officials.
