Violence broke out at Dehradun railway station on Thursday night following a clash between two communities over an interfaith relationship. The altercation, involving a minor girl from Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district and her male friend, led to stone-pelting and vehicle vandalism. Police questioned the couple and discovered the girl was reported missing in Badaun. As news of their interfaith relationship spread, tensions escalated, and a crowd gathered, leading to a violent confrontation. The Railway Protection Force and local police quickly intervened, dispersing the crowd and restoring order. Several two-wheelers were damaged in the chaos. Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh arrived on the scene, and a heavy police deployment was made around the station.
