The West Bengal Police today, August 25, took to X (formerly Twitter) and said that they will provide adequate support to students who will be appearing for the UGC NET exam on August 27. In its post, West Bengal police said that an organisation has called a "Nabanna Abhiyan" on August 27 to protest against the RG Kar doctor's rape and murder. "We apprehend that candidates may face challenges reaching their examination centres. On August 27, there will be adequate police presence on the road for the convenience of all UGC-NET candidates. In case of any emergency, candidates are requested to feel free to seek help from the nearest policeman they come across," the post stated.
