In a bizarre incident, a seemingly trivial disagreement over a five-rupee packet of Kurkure escalated to such an extent that it led to a divorce proceeding in Uttar Pradesh's Agra. According to Dr Satish Khirwar, a counsellor at the family counselling centre, the conflict arose when a wife, known for her fondness for crunchy snacks, decided to purchase Kurkure herself after her husband failed to bring it home. This act led to an argument that spiralled into a fight, resulting in the wife returning to her parental home, where she has remained for the past two months. The couple, who have been married for a year, initially enjoyed a harmonious relationship. The husband, a silver artisan by profession, was attentive to his wife's preferences during the first six months of their marriage.
