Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Mumbai through the night and early morning today, July 14, causing waterlogging and traffic snarls in the city and suburbs. Mumbai has been receiving brief spells of heavy rainfall since Friday night, July 12. The change in weather has also led to netizens sharing photos and videos of #MumbaiRains. One user said that a tree fall incident was reported at Hiranandani Gardens in Powai, while another X user said that there was a cloudburst in Navi Mumbai. Videos shared by news agency ANI showed waterlogging at a few places and traffic jams on the Western Express Highway (WEH) in the city.
