The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has cancelled the planned maintenance work on a pipeline in Andheri East. Originally scheduled for May 22, the operation involved connecting a 1500 mm diameter water channel with a new 1200 mm diameter channel (the Parle outlet) in the K East ward. The work was expected to take 16 hours and would have necessitated water cuts in parts of Goregaon, Jogeshwari, Andheri, and Vile Parle.
