Murder Over Biryani in Chennai Video: Youth Hacked to Death by Drunk Men During Fight Over Biryani Order, Three Arrested After Horrifying CCTV Footage Surfaces Online

In a fight over a biryani order in, three men killed a 22-year-old youth by stabbing him to death, according to the Chennai Police. The assault, which was caught on camera, took place on a busy road in the Mannurpet neighbourhood of the city on Saturday night. The victim, Balaji, was out to supper with his friends after ending his shift at a private firm. They purchased biryani from a restaurant. After the restaurant gave Balaji the food first, three drunk men, who had also ordered the dish from the same eatery, got into an altercation with him. Balaji was assaulted by the three with sickles. One of the accused can be seen on CCTV crossing the centre of the road while passing cars are driving by. While some people reduced their speed, no one intervened. Balaji was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead after the authorities were notified.
