In a troubling incident in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, five individuals have been arrested for pelting stones at the Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express. The stone pelting, which occurred as the train was returning from a test run on September 13, resulted in shattered windows of three coaches including C2-10, C4-1, and C9-78. The arrested accused have been identified as Shiv Kumar Baghel, Devendra Kumar, Jeetu Pandey, Sonwani, and Arjun Yadav. The train, which is scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 16, is now undergoing repairs ahead of the inauguration.
