A passenger’s shocking health complaint aboard the Vande Bharat Express has sparked fresh concerns over food safety on Indian trains. The woman, identified by her X handle @AyushiS54377868, claimed she suffered a severe allergic reaction after eating lunch onboard Train No. 22500 from Varanasi to Deoghar on March 27. She said her lips became visibly swollen, calling the situation potentially life-threatening. Her two-year-old son also reportedly fell ill and suffered diarrhoea during the journey. Sharing images and a doctor’s prescription online, she said she needed hospital treatment within 24 hours. The passenger also raised concerns about the drinking water, claiming it tasted unusual.
