In a show of solidarity, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has pledged to support Kerala in the wake of the devastating Wayanad landslide on Saturday, August 3. In a post on X, CM Siddaramaiah wrote, "Karnataka stands in solidarity with Kerala. I have assured CM Pinarayi Vijayan of our support and announced that Karnataka will construct 100 houses for the victims." The disaster, one of Kerala's worst natural calamities, has claimed 358 lives, with 200 people still missing, according to the latest state government reports. As rescue operations enter their fifth day, efforts are being spearheaded by the Indian Army, Kerala Police, and emergency services, with private search and rescue firms and volunteers also contributing.
