In a daring rescue operation in the aftermath of Wayanad landslide, teams trekked deep into the Attamala forest and saved four toddlers found hiding in a cave. The Kalpetta Range Forest Officer spotted the children's mother wandering in search of food for her family, who had been starving for nearly five days. The officer, upon noticing the distressed mother, followed her to a cave where the four boys, aged between 1 and 4 years, were found. The tribal family, lost and without sustenance, had taken refuge in the cave. The rescue mission, which lasted eight hours, successfully brought the family to safety.
