In a shocking incident in Vinukonda, Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, a youth leader named Rashid, affiliated with the YSRCP, was hacked to death in full public glare on Wednesday, July 17. During the attack, which was caught on camera, one of Rashid's hand was chopped off on a busy road. Rashid was allegedly attacked by one Jilani, who is said to be associated with the ruling TDP. The YSRCP has urgently appealed to President Droupadi Murmu for intervention, alleging "severe lapses" in law and order situation in the state.
