Following four rounds of counting on Monday, Kabir expressed strong confidence in his performance, attributing the early success to the deep-rooted support of local voters despite his rigorous statewide campaigning schedule for other party candidates. "I always knew that the voters of those two constituencies would support me," Kabir stated during a media briefing. He admitted that while he focused on supporting AJUP nominees across the state, his faith in his home base remained unshaken. The former minister, who floated the AJUP after being expelled from the Trinamool Congress, appears to be successfully consolidating his influence in the Murshidabad belt.
