Mehbooba Mufti's daughter and PDP candidate from Srigufwara–Bijbehara constituency, Iltija Mufti has accepted defeat after trends showed her trailing by a margin of 4,334 votes after the sixth round of counting of votes that began at 8 am on Tuesday (October 8) for Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections 2024.
Mehbooba Mufti's daughter and PDP candidate from Srigufwara–Bijbehara constituency, Iltija Mufti has accepted defeat after trends showed her trailing by a margin of 4,334 votes after the sixth round of counting of votes that began at 8 am on Tuesday (October 8) for Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections 2024. National Conference's candidate Bashir Ahmad Shah Veeeri was leading from the constituency. Taking to X, Mufti wrote “I accept the verdict of the people. The love & affection I received from everyone in Bijbehara will always stay with me.
