Naik's resignation from the saffron party comes days after BJP gave a ticket to his father, Ganesh Naik, from the Airoli seat for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Naik said that he had submitted his resignation from the position of BJP Navi Mumbai District President and the party's membership to State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
