On this special occasion, sisters tie rakhi on the wrists of their brothers, and in return, they give their sisters blessings and a small token of love as gifts. Sudarsan Pattnaik, the renowned sand artist, marked the occasion by making beautiful sand art on the beach of Odishaâs Puri. He crafted a mesmerising sand idol of Lord Shiva as today also marks the last Monday of the auspicious Sawan Maas.
