Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe, who was previously alleged for slapping a player of his team during the ICC World Cup 2023, has been handed a suspension by the BCB. It has been also reported that Hathurusinghe will be sacked and his contract will be terminated after 48 hours of suspension, with veteran coach Phil Simmons to take over until next year's Champions Trophy. BCB Suspends Chandika Hathurusinghe For Allegations of Slapping Player
BCB has suspended Chandika Hathurusinghe on disciplanary grounds. He will be terminated after 48 hours of serving suspension.
BCB investigated the allegation from Bangladesh's World Cup campaigns in 2023 when a player alleged that Hathu had slapped him.
