In a huge blow, Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament after he could not recover in time from a viral fever. The right-hander is a reliable top-order batter and can also accelerate towards the back-end of an innings and his absence would be a blow for Shakib Al Hasan and co in the continental tournament. As his replacement, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have named Anamul Haque Bijoy, who is set to join his teammates later in Sri Lanka.
