Bhavani Devi began her Tokyo Olympics campaign on a high with a win over Tunisia's Nadia Ben Azizi 15-3 but was defeated by French fencer Maron Brunet 7-15, in the next round. After crashing out, she wrote an apology note on Twitter.
Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has praised India's fencing athlete Bhavani Devi's efforts' after the latter crashed out of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Monday.
